Welcome to Beltone™ The Hearing Centre in Red Deer!

Who suffers from hearing loss?
Hearing loss has become an increasingly widespread problem for Canadians of all ages. According to a study completed by Statistics Canada, more than 1 million adults reported a hearing related disability, more than twice the number of people reporting a problem with their vision (2002). The number could be even higher as the condition is often under reported.

Did you know?
  • One in five teenagers ages 12-19 has some degree of hearing loss
  • More than half of all Canadians over 65 will have some degree of hearing loss
  • Over 25% of hearing loss is caused by aging

Hearing loss is a gradual condition and often goes unnoticed until it has become a serious problem. In many cases, family and friends notice the condition before the patient.

What Causes Hearing Loss?; ear and hand
As you may be aware, hearing loss is often associated with aging, but can be caused by any number of issues, including long-term exposure to loud environments, earwax build-up, viral or bacterial infections, stroke, certain heart conditions, medications and hereditary hearing loss. We can assess your hearing needs and make recommendations by conducting a hearing test.
